Three Part Harmony ----- One
Band -------- Two Trios!
Liston, Nienhaus & Crawford - LNC
Pat Liston of Mama's Pride team up with Scott Nienhaus
& Karen Crawford playing some covers including songs by, The Beatles,
Grand Funk, CSN, Janis Joplin, Wishbone Ash, Spirit and Neil Young just
to name a few. We also perform many originals including some of Pat's
KSHE Classics like Blue Mist and Laurie Ann as well as selections from
Pat's solo CD entitled Blue Mist. The CD also includes Scott on guitar
and vocals. Pat Liston is a true talent and a great performer.
Rogers, Nienhaus & Crawford
- RNC
Terry Jones Rogers joins Scott Nienhaus & Karen
Crawford offering different originals and covers by The Byrds, CSN,
The Beatles, Carole King, James Taylor and the like. Terry and Scott
have toured the US, Europe and Brazil together as members of The Byrds
for over 11 years, during which time the two singer/songwriters produced
their own CD of all original material entitled Empty Room which still
receives international airplay and acclaim. This trio has recently submitted
a copy of Keep On Tryin by Poco for a Tribute CD and it was accepted.
It should be out sometime soon.
Suffice it to say, both trios are very powerful, each
with a strong following. It is acoustic music and three-part harmony
at it's very best!
Not only does Three Part Harmony play 4 or 5 nights
a week in and around the St. Louis / Alton area, they also have special
guests that visit regularly, outside
projects, and lots of things that set them apart from the
regular bands people normally see when visiting their local taverns.
For instance, Supe Granda of the
Ozark Mountain Daredevils; Michael
Curtis of The Curtis Brothers, Crazy
Horse, Hoyt Axton’s band,
Rusty Young of Poco, Phil
White of Space Opera and John
Simmons of Johnny and the Nightcrawlers (to name a few)
join us from time to time to mix things up.
Scott
Nienhaus and
Karen Crawford started 3 Part Harmony by accident. Scott
was playing solo and as time went on, Karen was asked to sit in to complete
the duo. Not long after that, Pat
Liston asked to join and they started playing regularly
as Liston, Nienhaus & Crawford. Pat only played part time and it
soon became obvious that the three part harmonies were a necessity.
Terry
Jones Rogers was asked to join as well, becoming Rogers,
Nienhaus & Crawford. Equally entertaining, both trios have evolved
into two wonderful shows with selections from varied ends of the spectrum.
