As a co-owner of Cleo's, a tavern/restaurant in Edwardsville, IL, I am writing in response to the comments posted at 3partharmony.com. The writer of the comments is unmentioned which speaks for itself. Furthermore, based on almost 5 years of having known Karen Crawford and Scott Nienhaus and employing their bands at our bar, the comments are untrue and vindictive. Scott and Karen along with Pat Liston and Terry Rogers are all professional musicians and caring people. Their music speaks for
itself and draws a repeat mixed and diverse audience
of all races and ages. Their music is
responsible for bringing new people to our bar, and
our overall sales have improved significantly
since they first started playing. Their compensation
Their music is a joy to listen
to, and I would highly recommend fellow
tavern owners Talbert Eisenberg December
13, 2007 As a Professional Sound company I have had the opportunity to work with Scott, Karen, Terry, Pat on more then a few occasions, The Trio as they are called is a very professional group, they have always been a highly polished act and work to make my job easier. Scott is the person responsible for the setup and coordination of the equipment and he has always been responsive and quick to see that setup and sound check goes smoothly. I've never seen a better group to work for or with as far as attitude goes. Although it seems this group has a Karma that avoids these issues of Ego etc, never have I seen a group that gets along so well, that works together so well and caters to it's crowd so well. Overall I would say they are the easiest to work for and with and never is there an attitude that can be seen publicly or privately. Crowds always enjoy the interaction with these musicians and many of the crowd have become friends and fans wherever the shows are, resulting in great followings and good turnouts. These are professional musicians and they deal with the event or the customer in a very professional manner, I've never heard a remark or seen attitude from anyone in this group, I find them pleasant to work for and with, and they deliver a quality show each and every time. I actually attend their shows when I'm not working as I enjoy the way they perform and their on and off stage persona. I have worked with them [on] large and small occasions, I've done National shows and small clubs and I can say they are always first rate in working with anyone on the job. They take time to talk to customers and take requests, they never goof off or come off as unpolished in there presentations. I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking quality acoustic entertainment, from 4 very personable and excellent musicians. Don Lanier December 19, 2007 I have had the overwhelming pleasure to have both of these groups entertain my customers. Everyone in attendance feels extremely lucky to have such seasoned and professional musicians go to the trouble of coming all the way to La Belle Missouri. As owners, my wife and I put in long hours and don't get many breaks. The visits from these hard working professionals [is] our vacation time. The music they play and the world class talent of which they perform gives me a sense of success when they visit my establishment. Pat, Scott, Karen and now Terry have given Bubba and Doc's the reputation for having the best entertainment in this part of the state. As the booking agent for LNC and RNC, Karen Crawford shows a heartfelt interest in every aspect of the entire visit and has been instrumental in the planning, promotion and success we have enjoyed. . Having just seen our first RNC show I can only say "WOW" Terry was a blast both on and off stage. He is the professional I would expect from this group of entertainers. If you want to give your customers something special this is the way to go. Aside from our business relationship my wife and I feel we have kindled a life long friendship. Having followed Pat Liston with Mama's Pride for 30 years my brother Tom (Tom Smith of Black Dog and the Rainmakers) was kind enough to introduce me to Pat at one of the LNC shows. Mama's Pride has always been one of my favorites and to have Pat, Scott and Karen play on my stage is rewarding to say the least. We recently have had someone try to put a damper on
all this. For what ever reason, someone has tried to discredit these
people by attacking them on the internet. This must be a very unhappy
person. Do you even know these people? I do. Scott is one of the most
humble and friendly people I know. With all his talent he could easily
sink to your level and become the person you're describing in your miserable
ranting. Fortunately, his character prevents him from living at your
level of society. As for Karen, Well I think what I have said here should
display our total disagreement with your statements. I only wish that
this person would contact me directly. I would love to meet face to
face to discuss this further but I doubt you would enjoy it as much
as I would. |
